Biography
Sahadat Hossain is a Bangladeshi communication and multimedia specialist with over 20 years of experience in filmmaking, digital content, and visual storytelling. He studied Practical Filmmaking at MetFilm School, London (2005–2007) and trained at the London Film Academy in shooting and lighting for film. His career spans across film production, post-production, advertising, and development communication, including key roles at Impress Telefilm Ltd., Spellbound Leo Burnett, and MedGlobal Inc.
As a cinematographer and film manager, he has worked on feature films, documentaries, and television projects. Notably, he directed and produced the Padma Bridge Documentary and served as Technical Director for the Bangladesh-France joint venture feature film Lal Tip. He also co-founded Bioscopewala Ltd., the first international-standard post-production facility in Bangladesh.
Alongside his industry practice, Sahadat has contributed as an educator:
- Former instructor at Pathshala South Asian Media Institute, where he taught photography and visual communication.
- Trainer at the BCC training and Communication, mentoring young communicators on visual storytelling.
He continues to share his expertise through workshops and masterclasses on cinematography, digital image processing, and film language, bridging professional practice with academic learning.
